How It Works

Sourced, inspected, set on your pad.

A used tank is only a bargain if it is right for your service. Every deal follows the same five steps, so you know exactly what you are buying.

Match

Tell us your product, capacity, footprint, and timeline. We search our network of owners, plants, and decommissioning projects for tanks that fit.

Inspect

Our team checks the shell, floor, welds or bolted seams, coatings, and nozzles, then sends you a graded condition report with photos.

Refurbish

We take care of what the report finds: blasting, relining, recoating, new gaskets, nozzle changes, and fittings to suit the new product.

Relocate

Shop-welded and poly tanks ship in one piece. Bolted tanks are match-marked, taken down, crated, and trucked to your site.

Set & Commission

We can supply a new foundation, then set or re-erect the tank, hydrotest it, and hand it over ready for service.

Bolted Tank Relocation

Big capacity that moves with you.

A field-welded tank has to be cut apart to move it. A bolted tank was designed to come apart. Panels unbolt, stack flat, and ship on standard trucks, so you can buy hundreds of thousands of gallons for a fraction of the cost of a new tank.

  • Match-Marked Disassembly
Each panel is numbered by ring and position, so the tank goes back together exactly as it was built.
  • Panel-by-Panel Evaluation
We grade the coating on every sheet. Damaged panels are recoated or replaced before re-erection.
  • New Seals & Hardware
Fresh gaskets, sealant, and fasteners go in on reassembly, followed by a hydrotest before the tank goes into service.
  • Re-Engineered for the New Site
We check wind, seismic, and snow loads for the new location, and we can add rings or change the roof to adjust capacity.

Condition Grades

You know the condition before you buy.

Every tank we offer is assigned a grade, so you can compare price against remaining life.

GradeWhat it meansTypical work before shipping
Grade A Like newLightly used or surplus-new. The shell and coatings are intact, with no measurable metal loss or laminate damage.Cleaning, inspection, and new gaskets where needed.
Grade B ServiceableSound structure with normal wear. Some coating breakdown or minor pitting, still within allowable thickness.Spot repairs, partial recoating, and nozzle or fitting updates.
Grade C RefurbishStructurally sound, but the lining or coating needs full rework before the tank can go into new service.Full blast and reline or recoat, plus panel replacement on bolted tanks.

Frequently Asked

Buying used, answered.

It depends on the tank type, condition, and how far it has to travel. A pre-owned tank often costs much less than a new one and is usually available far sooner. That matters most for emergency replacements and temporary capacity. Every quote shows delivered pricing, so you can compare it side by side with new.
Yes. Bolted tanks are designed to be assembled from panels. When we relocate one, we match-mark and dismantle it, evaluate each panel, replace any damaged sheets, and reassemble it on a new foundation with new gaskets, sealant, and hardware. The tank is hydrotested before it goes back into service.
Sometimes. It depends on what the tank held before and on its lining or alloy. Stainless tanks and previously potable tanks are the best candidates. Others may need a new NSF/ANSI 61 lining. We check the service history and recommend the right path before you commit.
Yes. We buy, consign, and remove quality used tanks of every type. For bolted tanks, we can dismantle the tank on your site and haul it away, often for less than demolition would cost. Use the form above and choose “I have a tank to sell.”
Pre-owned poly, shop-welded, and frac-style tanks are a good fit for temporary capacity during construction, maintenance outages, or seasonal peaks. Tell us your timeline in the form and we will suggest the most practical options.
Prefer New?

New or used. One source.

If a pre-owned tank isn’t the right fit, we can configure a new bolted or shop-welded tank, cover, and foundation in the same conversation.
